Meeting us

Hello friends!

Welcome to my first blog post! For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Kate and I am very recently engaged to the man of my dreams, Shayne. I’ve been a Feldmeier for 20 years, and now I’m going Kreager! I am starting this blog mainly to keep track and be able to look back at all of my thoughts during this crazy, exciting time in my life. I don’t ever want to forget the feelings that I have now while beginning to plan my wedding. On rough days I want to be able to look back and see the perfect days, and I hope this blog will help me to do so.

Enough about me, I’d like for  you to know more about my wonderful fiancé. I’ve asked him to write his own introduction of himself. He wasn’t super thrilled about it, but he did it. So the following words are straight from him, as you will soon notice…. 😜

Well I’m Shayne, born in Fort Wayne Indiana. I’m just your typical cool guy, with nice hair. I’m a nerdy kind of guy, who knows a lot about sports and plays video games. The first time I saw Katie’s beautiful red hair was at Target. She called on the walkie for me to check someone’s schedule and I said to myself, “you serious bro”, but I didn’t say anything over the walkie because of our boss. Then it came to tinder time, I swiped right when I saw this beautiful girl with red hair. Then we finally went out to the river walk and got Dairy Queen afterwards on Easter Sunday. Then I would start coming to her apartment after class and had such fun times with her, and then finally the night came when I asked her to be mine. But before that, a car came and honked and I remember seeing Katie’s beautiful smile from the headlights glowing on her. Then a year later I asked her to marry me, and now we are engaged and have a beautiful white cat.

That’s Shayne for ya. He’s very proud of his hair, and apparently our cat! We don’t have the most romantic love story that you’ve ever heard, but it’s ours and it’s perfect to me. As he mentioned, we first met when we worked at Target, and were reunited by good ol Tinder. When people ask how we met I usually leave it at “Oh we met at Target when I was in high school.” But Shayne thinks it’s hilarious to tell people that we met on Tinder, so we have to tell both stories, romantic or not.

From here on out I will be using this blog to record and update wedding plans, and simply journal about the adventures that Shayne and I encounter together. We are both beyond excited for this next step in our lives, and we can’t wait to share it with you!
